Ruggles St. Station Orange Line

Metropolitan Boston Transportation Authority commission

This is a collaboration with Paul Goodnight, painter and Emmanuel Genovese, stained glass artist, with assistance from Stephanie Jackson St. Germaine. It consists of tiles individually shaped and sculpted which fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. It is 5' high by 26' long, and 6" deep.

This infant is rendered in a double layer of stained glass, the bottom an iridescent white, and on top a clear glass with a water texture, to give the visual impression of being in water, as in the placenta
